This early original American light bulb poster was printed
to promote the sales of light bulbs, earlier known as lamps. Depicted are
the new prices of light bulbs starting at 27 cents for a 10 watt bulb,
promoting a carton of bulbs. The poster also depicts a man and woman in
the fashion of the times.
The Otis Litho Co. is known for its high
standard of quality printing and was regularly used by the film industry
to produce early movie posters. General Electric introduced standard
fitting sizes for tungsten incandescent lamps under the Mazda trademark
in 1909 and this was soon in use all across the United States.
We are fortunate
to have this rare historical American Poster in our collection, have never seen it before in our travels. The poster is archivally linen backed and ready for framing. We only have this one.
