AGE: c 1920-30’s lithograph.
CONDITION: A-, Linen Mounted, small very very minor border wrinkles, must be scrutinized closely to see, Gold inks and printing, absolutely beautiful.
This beautiful image is that of the 20th century limited train going though the Hudson Valley. It is printed with a gold ink border. We believe this image at one time to have been a calendar top, although we are not certain. Vintage railroad art is very collectible. The Twentieth Century Limited was a locomotive train in service 1927-1953. From 1922-1931 the New York Central Railroad printed beautiful vintage calendar art which featured illustrations of this famous train. Walter L. Greene of Schenectady, New York was the primary illustrator from 1925-1931. Rare, Beautiful and ready for framing! great for a train buff or children’s room. We only have this one.
