beach seeing a human footprint in the sand, gun slung over his
shoulder. The text reads: "Robinson Crusoe found his way out of all his
difficulties, CAN YOU?".
Robinson Crusoe, a novel by Daniel
Defoe, first published in 1719 and is often regarded as the first novel
in English. Caruso spent 28 years on a remote tropical island near
Venezuela, encountering Native Americans, captives, and mutineers before
being rescued.
These thirties incentive posters were put out
during the WPA Works Progress Administration years, and depression era in
the U.S. to further the incentive of American children. It was first
published in 1929 during the fall of Wall street, and then again in
1937. A great historical American piece during the FDR Franklin Roosevelt time
period, and with an advertising byline so amazingly relevant today!
Beautiful and ready for framing. We only have this one.
