1940 Maltex Breakfast Cereal Vintage Poster
This is a wonderful thirties to forties original food and beverage poster which shows 2 American children sitting at a breakfast table eating their Maltex cereal. It has the advertising byline “We eat a 100% breakfast every morning…Fruit, Hot Whole Grain Cereal, Toast with Butter, Milk.” It has a beautiful little Maltex cereal logo in lower right that shows a young child eating porridge.
Condition is A. It was printed (in lower right) by “Stecher Traung, Rochester, New York” which is in Monroe County. The Maltex Company of Burlington, Vermont, marketed Maltex cereal, which was a combo of toasted wheat and malted barley. It developed the famous Maypo maple flavored hot oat cereal in 1950.
This is a wonderful early American 20th century cereal advertising piece in excellent condition. Great for a kids or children’s room, kitchen, restaurant, coffee shop, diner…the poster is archivally linen backed and ready for framing. We only have this one.
