This is a beautiful and original poster print, from the 1940's WWII era, printed by the famous Electric Boat Company of New York. These images were used as part of the large advertising campaign from many popular magazines of the day. It has vibrant and color and is in wonderful condition, linen mounted. Note: This is not a reprint, but an original.
The General Dynamics Electric Boat Company (GDEB) has been a builder of submarines and boats for the USN United States Navy for over 110 years, since 1899. The shipyard is located in Groton, Connecticut, Quonset Point, Rhode Island and New London, CT. These original WWII WW2 World war two era Elco poster prints are a set of beautiful images produced for the military war effort.
This image is entitled "Elco PT...World's fastest Combat Vessel" and is printed in lush browns and oranges. It depicts an exciting scene of navy boys on a PT boat, firing at a Japanese freighter with Japan flag flying on hull, hitting its target. At print bottom it reads "Giant Killers" Please see others we have in this series here, all found together. Mint, beautiful and ready for framing. We only have this one.
