Condition: A-, unbacked paper poster, folded for distribution, minor imperfections, tiny 1/4 inch tear, overall bright, clean and beautiful.
This is a wonderful historic, patriotic and political cause poster for Thursday October 24. 1957 United Nations Day with a proclamation, and signed with a printed signature of then President Dwight D. Eisenhower. It also lists the Secretary of State at that tme, John Foster Dulles.
In the proclamation, President Eisenhower urges citizens to observe the date as United Nations Day by means of "community programs which will demonstrate their faith in and support of the United Nations and will contribute to a better understanding of its accomplishments and the hopes that inspired its founders."
The poster is a deep turquoise and white, with and architectural image of the UN building and graphic logo. It is ready for framing. We only have this one.
