This is a wonderful and original 1950's Old Forge, New York ski poster for McCauley Mountain. It features great old graphics of skiers with long wooden skis partying in the lodge, and going up the old chairlift. The colors are red, navy and blue grey, classic fifties design. For its history, McCauley opened in the 1958-59 winter season, and this poster is for that opening.

We did some web research on "Pitt" Smith, born in 1914 in Old Forge NY. He was Publicity Director for the Town of Webb and Secretary for the Central Adirondack Association (CM). He had an amazing talent for the promoting the Old Forge area in the fifties and sixties. It was both a summer and winter wonderland with Enchanted Forest and McCauley Mountain.

The poster is archivally linen backed and ready for framing. We've had it in our personal collection for years. We only have this one.
