NOTE: This lovely art deco literary poster is stunning and colorful. It advertises the “sensational New Novel of the theatre by Channing Pollock” which was published in “The American Magazine” in 1933. The stark use of color, reddish orange and black, is great design from the 1930’s by a well known artist.
Channing Pollock (1880-1946) was an American playwright, critic and writer of film work. He was a drama critic for the Washington Post and the Times. He worked for Zeigfeld, and wrote about 30 shows. His autobiography published in 1943 was called "Harvest of My Years."
In addition, C.C. Beall is a very well known illustrator, best known for his WWII WW2 image of the American flag raising at Iwo Jima. A great and uncommon original art deco piece. The poster is archivally linen backed and ready for framing. We only have this one.
