NOTE: This beautiful horizontal poster advertises the world's youngest acrobats in new and original tricks.
The Lindemann Brothers (later known as Seils and Sterling) Circus gave its first performance in 1918.
By 1925 the circus was well under way, the Lindemann adopted the name Seils-Sterling, they became
one of the country's greatest motorized shows. In 1937 they worked in 10 states, but the depression
of the 1930s led to the end of Seils-Sterling's travels. By 1938 the circus opened for the last time.
This poster, is a lasting memory of circus days gone by.
A wonderful kid's room poster or circus collecor piece.

Charlie Chaplin in the silent film The Circus (1928). Kennedy was
introduced to Chaplin by Lita Grey, who became Chaplin's second wife in 1924.
As a dancer, she had very muscular legs, which gave her the role of the circus
bareback rider. Nick Stuart was born in Abrud, Romania, and was raised in Dayton,
OH, actor Nick Stuart was a handsome, athletic leading man in many Hollywood
movies and films of the late 1920's and early 1930s. A wonderful sports,

The first performance was Opéra Comique, Paris, 20 November, 1901. The librettists are Armand Silvestre
and Eugène Morand. Jules Emile Frederic MASSENET (1842-1912), was a French composer, born at Montaud.
He studied at the Paris Conservatoire, where he obtained the Grand Prix de Rome in 1863 with the cantata David Rizzio.
Massenet became one of the most prolific composers of his time. He composed the music for this opera Griselidis Opera Comique.
This is a stunning piece, with winged Devil, Art Nouveau graphics and beautil lithography. Stunningly beautiful and ready for framing!

June 28, 1896 New York City, NY USA. This poster advertises her new play "Erstwile Susan", a play based on
Mrs. Fiske's stage success. Fiske was a female producer, writer, director, and performer.
She produced directed, acted in and wrote many plays and died in 1932. Marian De Forest wrote the play
that the poster advertises "Erstwhile Susan." Constance Binney and her sister Faire Binney were sister
actors appearing in silent film, plays and movies. The play ran Jan 18, 1916 at the Gaiety Theatre, in NY, USA.
This smaller play poster is a wonderful and historical piece of Amercan Theater, ready for framing.

NOTE: A brightly printed original circus poster depicting twin elephants and fun actual facial
images of the Haag Brothers, mid west circus promoters. The Haag Railroad Shows ran from 1894 -1938
and had wagin shows. They were run by Harry Haag, Ernest haag, Helen Haag, Walter L. Main or Walter Main.
Ringling Brothers called them "The Barnum of the Sticks". They were the first circus that famous clown
Emmett Kelly saw 1915, and he joined them in late 1920's. The Hatfields and the McCoys had one of
their shootouts on the Mighty Haag Show grounds. This original old poster would be
wonderful for a child or children's room. Beautiful and ready for framing!

NOTE: This is a beautiful cowboy themed vintage stone lithograph poster depicting a western
fight scene with an onlooker smoking a cigarette, and Jane Nowak, (1896-1990) the film's star
in a background window. She starred with Harold LLoyd and William S. Hart and in many movies
in her long career. Banner Productions. WIKI: The director is Tom Forman, (1893-1926) was a motion picture actor,
writer, and producer of the early 1920's. Texas-born Forman made his first film for Jesse L. Lasky's production in 1914.
With the exception of service at the front during World War I, he had a successful career as both an actor and director.
He directed Lon Chaney's Shadows in 1922, and reached his biggest achievement directing the second screen version of
Owen Wister's The Virginian (1923); after which his career faltered and he was reduced to working on cheap poverty
row melodramas. He is also known for his work with Edith Taliaferro in Young Romance. He was set to direct the
Columbia film, The Wreck, which was to start shooting on November 8, 1926, but on the evening of November 7,
Forman shot himself through the heart at his parents' home in Venice, CA. See artivle at link below.

the show is combined with Gentry Brothers Dogs and Ponies. Also Buck Sells Real Wild West Show.
It features a drawing of the original old Dan Rice (1823-1900) a very early American famous clown

NOTE: This poster advertises a Western film released by 20th Century Fox and produced by Sol Lesser,
directed by Howard Bretherton. Storyline: Paul Kelly works in New York for a trust company,
and is sent to Arizona to convince Judith Allen that she should sell her property before she loses all her
money on her failing milk dairy farm business. When Kelly gets there he discovers that one of Allen's foreman
and a local banker are in a conspiracy to get the land for as there is a rich silver deposit on it. For genealogy purposes th
e cast is: Paul Kelly, Judith Allen, Leroy Mason, Steve Clemente, Nina Campana, Frank La Rue, Reginald Barlow.
Harold Bell Wright (May 4, 1872 – May 24, 1944) was a best-selling American writer of fiction, essays, and
non-fiction during the first half of the 20th century. Although mostly forgotten or ignored after the middle
of the 20th century, he is said to have been the first American writer to sell a million copies of a novel
and the first to make $1 million from writing fiction.[citation needed] Between 1902 and 1942
Wright wrote 19 books, several stage plays, and many magazine articles. More than twenty one
movies were made or claimed to be made from Wright's stories, including Gary Cooper's first major movie,
The Winning of Barbara Worth (1926) and the John Wayne film, The Shepherd of the Hills (1941).

Mantan Moreland (3 September 1902 - 28 September 1973) was a comic and actor most popular in the 1930s and 1940s.
Some of his roles are now considered to be controversial, as he often played a superstitious, easily frightened manservant,
ready to flee at the first sign of danger, somewhat similar to roles played by Stepin Fetchit. However, many consider
these roles to be just a minor part of Moreland's prolific career, which included many early all-black films as well as
dozens of mainstream comedies, mysteries and horror movies. Ted Toddy, in the early 1940's began

and directed by Yves Ciampi. The stars are: Andre Smagghe, Jacques Monod. The plot involves a radioactive
satellite of unknown origin in orbit over the U.S., leading to suspicions and accusations bordering on nuclear war.
Doomsday is avoided when the U.S.A. and Russia join forces to investigate and destroy the satellite, but before

CONDITION: B, Linen Mounted. very minor restoration, unobtrusive unless scrutinized.
NOTE: Dan Patch was one very famous horse. He was bred in Indiana in 1897. The horse created
a brilliant record losing only two heats in 56 starts by July 1902. In 1903 at Memphis, he paced a 1:56 1/4 mile
to sulky and on the same day did 1:57 1/4 to wagon. At the Red Mile in Lexington, he went an stunning 1:55 1/4 mile.
Dan Patch became a national Amercan celebrity. There was Dan Patch smoking and chewing tobacco, a
Dan Patch washing machine, a dance named the Dan Patch Two Step. Dan Patch died on July 11, 1916.
At the bottom of this poster is printed the time 1:55, his racing record. Please note that in the original poster
the sky is bluer and in this digital image, some of the detail has dropped out. This great early horse poster is
a real prize and would be a great addition to any sports, vintage equestrian collection.

NOTE: The Spooner theatre first opened in 1910 as home for the Spooner Stock Company,
headed by actress and feminist Cecil Spooner (she insisted on spelling her first name without the usual "e" ending).
When her lease expired in 1913, the theatre's owners sold the theatre to Loew's, which kept the Spooner name.
Cecil Spooner was born in1875, New York, USA. Cecil Spooner was a performer who often worked on Circus acts
and was a stage and screen star of the pre WW1 era. She died in Califonia in 1953. NOTE: In 1913 the New York Times
printed an article about her: Cecil Spooner, the actress, the star of the stock company in the
Cecil Spooner Theatre in the Bronx, and Joseph Cone, the manager of the theatre, who were arrested on
Tuesday night on a charge of presenting an improper play, "The House of Bondage," were held in $500 bail each
by Magistrate Murphy yesterday afternoon for trial in Special Sessions.

Note: Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini (July 15, 1850 – December 22, 1917) known during her life as
Mother Cabrini, was the first American citizen to be canonized by the Roman Catholic Church.
Maria Francesca Cabrini was born July 15, 1850, in the town of San Angelo, south of Milan in Italy.
From an early age she was drawn to a missionary life and service to God. In 1880, with
seven other young women, she founded the Italian Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
A beautifully printed colorful film poster depicting mother cabrini with a jail prisoner. We believe this early

With printed signatures beneath of Rosa Raisa and Giacomo Rimini. Their portraits depicted on the poster.
In Chicago during the early 1900s Rosa was its leading dramatic soprano. Rosa Raisa sang 275 performances
in Chicago and 235 on tours. In 1929 she performed as Aida. Three Toscanini Scala seasons (1924 - 1926).
She was married to the baritone Giacomo Rimini. They appeared in many concerts together.
