1943 Victory Farm Garden US Crop Corps Children`s WW2 Era Photomontage Poster
PRINTED BY: US Government Printing Office
AGE: dated 1943, WWII era
CONDITION: A-, Linen Mounted, Machine folded as war posters are, folds unobtrusive unless
scrutined closely. Would be beautiful framed under glass.
NOTE: This is an interesting poster as it is a call for children to help out during the war effort and go to work
in the summer working for the United States Crop Corps, part of the government`s work plan. Victory Gardens
were popular during WW1 and WW2. They were gardens planted at private residences in the United States, Canada,
and United Kingdom during WWi, World War I and World War II to reduce the pressure on the public food supply.
These gardens were also considered a "morale booster" — in that gardeners could feel empowered by their contribution of
labor and rewarded by the produce. Making victory gardens became a part of daily life on the home front. This poster is done
in the style of photo montage where we see two separate photography or photos joined together to make one. Modern in design.

This mint cardboard poster is from the world war two, WW2 era. It printed on a thin cardboard, would frame well.
The condition is mint. It will be sent flat in a clear plastic rigid sleeve, ready for framing. We were able to find some |
historical Info on web: "POP KOLA was a Coca Cola® imitation circa WWII that was too close to the real thing...because
someone had gotten the actual Coke formula! The lawyers had it out and POP KOLA ceased production. It was bottled
by Reitz Bottling Company of Siler City, NC. It also may be called Reitzel Beverage Company. The Reitzel`s most popular
drink was probably "3 Cent Copper", it also tasted alot like Coca Cola. In addition, another product, Gold Dot soda, was
also bottled by Reitzel Beverage Company." See link below for this.
