1890's Schoolcraft & Coes Vintage American Performer Poster
This is a wonderful and rare American lithograph minstrel
entertainment poster we have never seen before in our travels. It was
found in upstate New York, with other vintage magic, circus, magician,
theater, vaudeville, broadway and general entertainment posters,
and is a real beauty. It advertises a post Civil War minstrel act named
Schoolcraft & Coes.
The condition is B+, freshly linen
mounted with very minor discoloration, edge tears and minor
imperfections, overall very beautiful with the imperfections unobtrusive
unless scrutinized very closely. A rare vintage piece in great shape.
It was printed by M.J. Morgan & Co. Lithographers of Cleveland,
Ohio. The stone lithography is beautiful and of very high quality.
There i s much historical information documented on the web about
this performing duo, which consisted of Luke Schoolcraft (1847-1893) and
