1936 Dan Rice Circus Original Vintage Poster

This great horizontal poster tells us that the Dan Rice Circus was started in 1852 and this is the 84th year, thus it dates from 1936. It shows clowns, lions, tigers, elephants, trapeze artists, and advertises that the show is combined with Gentry Brothers Dogs and Ponies. Also Buck Sells Real Wild West Show.

The poster features a drawing of old Daniel or Dan Rice (1823-1900) a very early American famous clown and circus innovator who changed the American circus into what it is today. Her was born Daniel McLaren.
