1950’s RMI Caronia Ship Cunard Ocean Liner Greek Poster

AGE: c. 1950’s
CONDITION: A-, Linen Mounted, has 1/2 inch edge tear with no paper loss in large and wide white border and very minor corner restoration in the large white border, hard to see unless scrutinized closely. Framing would go right over this, the actual poster image is mint, bright and beautiful!

This lovely smaller travel poster depicts the ocean liner ship the “Caronia” in full swing in Greek or Mediterranean waters near Greece. Printed at the very bottom of this poster reads “R.M.I. Caronia Cunard Line”. The RMS Caronia was a 34,183 gross-ton passenger ship of the Cunard Line, launched on October 30, 1947, she served with Cunard until 1967. Nicknamed “The Green Goddess” because her hull was painted four shades of light green.
