1940's Collection of Vintage WWII WW2 Philip Ronfor artist Prints

Philip A Ronfor or Philip Alan Ronfor 1911–1986 was an American 20th Century graphic designer, poster artist, and prolific illustrator born January 1911 in Ohio. He died February 11, 1986 in Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz County, California. His parents were Adolph L Ronfor born 1875 and Catherine E Ronfor, born 1880. His wife was Eva G Spieler Ronfor 1913–1989, daughter of August Joseph Spieler 1874–1959 of Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio (note: his father was Titus Detus Spieler 1839–1895 of Heimbuchenthal, Aschaffenburger Landkreis, Bavaria (or Bayern) Germany who died in Cincinnati. Her mother was Bertha G Pulskamp Spieler 1884–1972. Their known children were Alan Ronfor or Allyn Lyon Ronfor and Kathryn Ronfor.

Philip Ronfor was a WWII veteran himself. An amazing artist, the Philip Ronfor collection is held at Miami University in the Walter Havighurst Special Collections & University Archives. He was known for his illustrations and paintings of trains / locomotives as well as book covers, pulp covers, WW2 art and he was also known as a photographer.

It is not know what they were from, and only one aviation is clearly signed with his printed signature and monogram. An amazing set of work, sold separately. All are A condition, linen mounted and ready for framing.
