Arthur Atwater Kent (1873–1949) born in Vermont, operated the Atwater Kent radio factory in Pennsylvania (the world`s largest at the time). He started his first manufacturing in 1896, and first radio instruments in 1921, and Superheterodynes in 1930. The plant closed in 1930. This Atwater Kent radio poster displays a wonderful graphic image depicting the Republican Elephant as well as the Democrat or Democratic Donkey symbol. “Buy a new Atwater Kent now to enjoy Radio`s Greatest Show”.
The horizontal format suggests use as an insert in trolley, train or bus advertising. This poster is in excellent condition, vibrant reds, oranges and black, great graphic design. Great for for a radio collector or political buff. Rare and wonderful, we love this early radio piece and only have this one. The poster is archivally linen backed and ready for framing. We only have this one and have never seen another. Rare, uncommon.
