The Gypsy Wayfarers were a 1920's 6 piece all girl band performing during the late twenties flapper era. They had 6 women musicians played the following instruments: banjo, grand piano, violin, trumpet, saxophone and a full drum set. We found evidence online of this band performing in St. Charles, Illinois during 1926 opening of the very famous Arcada Theater!

Poster text reads: "Coming! Sumner & Levan present Lor'a M'arie Harrington and the Internationally famous Gypsy Wayfarers on their 2nd Transcontinental Tour." The printer was Quigley Lithograph Co.

We found genealogy info on Joseph A. Quigley, born Dubuque, Iowa, 1862, married in Kansas City, 1911. His children were Joseph A. Quigley, Jr. born 1913 and John Quigley, born 1918. He was a Kansas City resident 36 years and the business was located on 115 W. 5th Street in KC MO.

A great old entertainment and music poster we have never seen before in our travels, uncommon and rare. We only have this one and will never have again. A great women's history piece!
