1936 Africa Orientale Italiana Vintage Advertising Poster Map

CONDITION: A, Linen Mounted, machine folded as most are, displays beautifully, a lithograph.
This very interesting pictorial map has text printed in Italian. There is also an advertising logo promoting a medical health tonic medicine to help the blood, Bisleri located on West Broadway, New York City. The logo in upper right depicts a lion. This would have been printed in Italian in NYC for the NYC immigrant population to promote Italy national pride in the colonization in Africa.
In 1947, after Mussolini, Italy formally lost all her overseas possessions as a result of the Treaty of Peace with Italy. wiki says “In November 1949, Italian Somaliland was made a United Nations Trust Territory under Italian administration. This lasted until July 1, 1960, when Italian Somaliland was granted its independence along with British Somaliland to form the Somali Republic.”
The map depicts Ethiopia, Somalia, Uganda, Sudan, Colonia del Chenia, Golfo di Aden, Iemen, Del Tanganica, Anglo Egiziano, Mar Rosso, Costa Franc, Eritrea, Somalia Inglese and Somalia Italiana, with all text in Italian. We have never seen these before. The poster is archivally linen backed and ready for framing. We only have this one.
