This beautifully printed and rare original antique poster is printed with gold inks surrounding the portrait. Depicted is an angelic image for food advertisement, "Cerealine The Food of Foods." Cerealine was the first dry breakfast food, which appeared on the American market in 1898. A great small kitchen poster. The image is of a beautiful side portrait of a young girl, in gold inks, all ready for framing! It is the same size as American literary posters of the period.
The blue ceramic tiles behind are representative of the early NYC subway tiles. The poster is archivally linen backed and ready for framing. We have never seen another in our travels, and only have this one. Rare, beautiful and ready to frame.
