NOTE: Dan Patch was one very famous horse! He was bred in Oxford, Indiana in 1897. The horse created a brilliant record losing only two heats in 56 starts by July 1902. Dan Patch became a national American celebrity. There was Dan Patch smoking and chewing tobacco, a Dan Patch washing machine, a dance named the Dan Patch Two Step. Dan Patch died on July 11, 1916. At the bottom of this poster is printed the time 1:55, his racing record. This great early horse poster is a real prize and would be a great addition to any sports, vintage equestrian collection or a children’s room. Beautiful and ready for framing! We only have this one.
