This smaller sized American Advertising Poster entitled “Wax Dressing” advertises a product for waxing floors. The color of the poster is a deep navy blue, not black as it appears in scan.
In 1913 city directoris, the Victory Chemical Co. was located at 312 N. 15th St. in Philadelphia. The image at center, is of a small turn of the last century child with the script under her written “A child can use it.”
It has beautiful Victorian era American typography text and the product sold for 25 cents a bottle. The wax dressing was for hard and soft wooden floors, pianos, bars, hotels, stores, offices, halls, churches as well as private houses.
This early poster was made to hang in an American Victorian era general store. A great early historical Philadelphia PA related American Advertising piece, all ready for framing. The poster is archivally linen backed and ready for framing. We only have this one, have never seen it before, uncommon.
