Condition: A condition, linen mounted
Poster text reads: 'Lietuva Tevyne Musu Tu Didvyru Zeme' at bottom and depicts 1300's castles, medieval knights in armor and the following historical figures and landmarks: Perkuno Sventinycia, Gediminas, Skirgiela, Algirdas, Pylies Kalnas Vilniuje, Vaidila Senoves Lietuviu Stabmeldziu Kunigas, Rimgaudas, Gediminas, and Keistutis.
Wiki says: "The national anthem of Lithuania, is known by its opening words "Lietuva, Tėvyne mūsų" (official translation of the lyrics:[1] "Lithuania, Our Homeland", literally: "Lithuania, Our Fatherland", ) and as "Lietuvos himnas" (Hymn of Lithuania). The music and lyrics were written in 1898 by Vincas Kudirka, when Lithuania was still a part of the Russian Empire."
We believe this poster to have been printed for Lithuanian immigrants to America, as a source of natonal pride. We have never seen one before. The poster is archivally linen backed and ready for framing. We only have this one.
