This wonderful and rare antique walkover shoes poster is a classic piece of western cowboy or cowgirl related American advertising. It was printed to advertise Walkover shoes and depicts a beautiful Annie Oakley type cowgirl in her high laced boots, leather fringed buckskin skirt, red bandana and holster with pistol. She is carving WALKOVER into a tree. She wears a wonderful cowboy hat and the printing by the famous WF Powers company is superb.
This classic image has sold at American Western Auctions for up to $3,700, and is a highly prized piece of Antique American advertising. It is archivally linen mounted, has an added 1/2 inch cream border added to the linen, a real plus. It originally came in a black wooden frame for display in a shoe store. We have had this in our own collection for years, and only have this one. Rare, beautiful, and ready for framing.
