A large poster! Samuel Cranston Benson, also known as S.C. Benson (or SC Benson) was an author who published is bio or memoirs called "Back from Hell," printed in Chicago by A.C. McClurg & Company, 1918, with 250 pages. Mr. Benson was a pacifist preacher or pastor in Patton, Pennsylvania, who was against war when he went, having been raised by a minister father and family. 

The book chronicles his changing views when confronted by the atrocities of the Huns in World War One. Benson served in the ambulance Corps on the Western front, and came back to publish the book and a speaking tour of his experiences. The poster was made to advertise that tour.
