This is a beautiful original early Clarence Underwood military & telecommunications world war one poster depicts a woman worker at her switchboard, just behind the western front. The use of the telephone in a war situation was a new event in this time period. Women were essential to the war effort. The YMCA was founded in 1844, the YWCA in 1858 in the USA. A wonderful and original women’s history poster by illustrator Clarence Underwood, with stunning graphics. Beautiful and ready for framing!
