This smaller horizontal Art deco beverage Poster is a great example of American Advertising. The horizontal format suggests use as a sign insert in trolley, train or bus advertising. A young exciting girl is speeding along in her antique wooden speed boat with a sail boat next to her. She exemplifies good health. She holds up and advertises an old glass bottle of a soda pop called “Necto”, as she steers a large early boat.
Web research tells us in the twenties the Orange Crush Bottling Company bottled Ward’s Lime, Lemon, Orange and Cocoa Crush, Schmidt’s Beer, Jumbo Cola, Nugrape and “Necto,” a yeast vitamin drink. Beautiful and ready for framing! The poster is archivally linen backed and ready for framing. We only have this one.
