1929 Authentic American Antique TB Vintage Advertising Sign
Printed by: Copyrighted 1929 by the National Tuberculosis Association
Condition: A condition, unmounted paper sign on thick cardstock, beautiful!
This is a beautiful old TB medical poster from 1929, the year of the Wall Street stock market crash in America. It has wonderful graphics, and features a medieval bell ringer with the famous TB logo. Text reads: Buy Christmas Seals, Fight Tuberculosis.
Christmas Seals were placed on mail during the Christmas season to raise funds and awareness for charitable programs. They are usually associated with lung diseases such as tuberculosis, and child welfare. Started in the US in 1904, these seals are considered a "Cinderella Stamp" in the philatelic antique stamp world.
Please see companion piece found this with, a stand up TB sign with the same bell ringer graphic, done by the same unknown artist, both stunning. A beautiful original American health, medicine piece, ready for framing. We only have this one.
