This is a wonderful machine age thirties per world war two lithograph of Vienna, in deep blacks, yellow cream, whte and red. The artist is signed Franke, with his logo. The scene is an industrial facotry and bustling pre war scene of Vienna with steam shovels, factories, speeding art deco trains, bridges, workers, castles: the old and new city. It has a backdrop of the red and white Austrian flag.
The poster has stunning machine age moderne or modern design artwork and has graphic design reminiscent of American WPA posters or black and white art prints of the time. We have had this in our collection for years. The poster is archivally linen backed and ready for framing. We only have this one.
