This pictorial map was commissioned by the “Daughters of the Republic of Texas” in 1934, and depicts Texas notables such as Stephan F. Austin, father of Texas; Mirabeau B. Lamar, father of education; Anson Jones, Architect of Annexation; Colonel Fannen, Commander at Goliad; Deaf Smith, Texas Scout; General Sam Houston, savior of Texas, Ben Milam, Colonel david “Davy” Crockett, hereo fthe Alamo, and Colonel W.B. Travis, Commander of the Alamo.
It has Four hundred years of Texas history illustrated, beginning with the 1500`s with Pinadea and Coronado. Includes routes trails marches along with noteworthy houses, forts, settlements and much more. An American and Texas historical piece we have never seen before, and only have this one.
