Artist Bio, Biography: Vernon Grant (1902-1990) was a very well known American illustrtation and commercial artist, best known for his work Kellogg's cereal he moved to California as a teenager and attended the University of Southern California and eventually the Chicago Art Institute. In 1933 he created the characters "Snap!" "Crackle!" and "Pop!" for Kellogg's Rice Krispies.
These old prints were offered as Kellogg's premiums for 49¢ and proof of purchase in 1938. There were six nursery rhymes illustrated by grant: Humpty Dumpty, Jack and Jill, Jack Be Nimble, Little Jack Horner, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater. This is the Jack and Jill print and a beauty in A condition. The poster is archivally linen backed and ready for framing. We only have this one.
