CONDITION: A, Linen Mounted, absolutely beautiful large format.
This WPA era beautiful and classic art deco era pictorial map includes illustrations of famous inventors and figures such as Thomas Edison, Robert Fulton, Alex Hamilton, Henry Hudson, JA Roebling, Nathan Hale, Theodore Roosevelt, Hi Whitney. Also depicted are illustrations of Columbia University, Montauk light, Brooklyn Bridge, The 1939 World’s Fair Trylon and Perisphere, Columbia University, West Point, Rockefeller Center, and Hudson Palisades. The detail on this poster was done by skilled artists and has wonderful illustrative art around the complete border. The top two corner illustrations depict the city itself on the left and the countryside on the right. The statue of Liberty is at the bottom left corner. New Jersey and New York city surrounding areas are included. Small ships adorn the water ways. We only have this one, uncommon.
