This is a literary related poster advertising the weekly Saturday Evening Post newspaper from March 11, 1939, the year of the New York World`s Fair, selling for just 5 cents a copy. The first edition of the Saturday Evening Post was published by Atkinson & Alexander on 4th August, 1821. Authors advertised in this edition were Mary Roberts Rinehart, Somerset Maugham, Patterson McNutt, Brooke Hanlon and excerpt from a book by Ambassador Bullitt called 'He Rose from the Dead.' This cover has 3 beautiful parrot birds in lush and vivid color, greens, blues, yellows. Wonderful for a Parrot enthusiast. Beautiful and ready for framing! We only have this one.
