Advertising text on the airplane reads: De Vliegende Hollander (Dutch for The Flying Dutchman), PH-KLM on tail, and the KLM logo on the nose of the plane.
The Lockheed Constellation, also known as the “Connie”, was a prop plane with 4 engines built by Lockheed 1943-1958. It was built in Burbank, California.
This old poster would have been hung in travel agent offices to get people in the mood to fly, an advertising piece for KLM airways. Great for an airlines buff or children’s room. A great old horizontal piece. The poster is archivally linen backed and ready for framing. We only have this one.
