This is a beautiful and original poster print, from the 1940's WWII era, printed by the famous Electric Boat Company of New York. These images were used as part of the large advertising campaign from many popular magazines of the day. It has vibrant and color and is in wonderful condition, linen mounted. This is not a reprint, but an original.
The General Dynamics Electric Boat Company (GDEB) has been a builder of submarines and boats for the USN United States Navy for over 110 years, since 1899. The shipyard is located in Groton, Connecticut, Quonset Point, Rhode Island and New London, CT. These original WWII WW2 World war two era Elco poster prints are a set of beautiful images produced for the military war effort.
This image is printed in lush deep greens and depicts an underwater scene of an Ebco Submarine firing a torpedo. You can also see 2 whales in the sea. At print bottom it reads "Pride of the Fleet."
