This great fifties horizontal trolley size beverage advertising poster depicts a camel in the desert with a banner advertising Mission Royal Punch. He is headed toward a savory antique soda bottle with an interesting shape. Text reads: Best Thirst Quencher in Sight! The poster is archivally linen backed and ready for framing, a great and uncommon antique American advertising poster, bright, original and very vivid.
...according to some historical web research, Mission had a variety of names and locations, first offered by California Crushed Fruit from Los Angeles. Mission Orange was their biggest seller. The company became known as Mission of California, Incorporated of New Haven, Connecticut into the 1950's, when this poster was printed.
The horizontal format suggests it was used as an insert in trolley, train, subway or bus advertising. Great for any kitchen, restaurant, or as a gift for your favorite bottle collector. We only have this one.
